EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Health Fair 10-8-11:  Vendors provided free health screenings, health information and entertainment to the community; low cost flu shots and free food were offered.  Carter blood care accepted blood donations.  There were 85 attendees, 35 volunteers & 33 vendors

Food Pantry & FED UP Programs: JC3 provided/fed 165 families with Thanksgiving Baskets

Dinner Rolls:   JC3 gave away more than 3,000 dinner rolls to the community on Nov 30 – Dec 1.

Desoto Staff Appreciation Day – In appreciation for DeSoto ISD campus staff and their recent accomplishments, JC3 (27 Disciples) served lunch to all the staff at Desoto High School.  Lunch was sponsored by The Diner in Uptown Village (Cedar Hill, TX).  A special thanks to all of the disciples who showed up to serve.  The staff was very grateful and appreciative of our hospitality and our service. 

Biggest Loser:  81 Contestants started, 33 finished, 660lbs lost compared to 490 with 36 finishing last year.  Contributed $500 to Fed Up.
Our FED UP Program provided/fed 165 families with Thanksgiving Baskets. Gave away more than 3,000 dinner rolls to the community on Nov 30 – Dec 1

Celebration of Life - Intimate celebration in memory of loved ones; included a message of hope, praise, & reception. Seven communities teamed up for this event

Young Ds Lock-In -Approximately 60 youth in attendance. We offered games, praise & worship, & workshops.

Decision Counseling Training: October 2nd thru 23rd from 12noon to 1:30 (Teaching Individuals how to lead others to Christ); 7 individuals attended the training class where they were taught the JC3 way of leading people to Christ.
