As a newcomer, it can be awkward and difficult to find your way into the life of a church. This class is your chance to meet new people and to learn more about who we are and what we have to offer, but it will require some initiative on your part.
What is Starting Point?
Starting Point is a brief 1 hour discipleship orientation class designed to give you the opportunity to get to know us without any obligation or unsolicited follow-up. We call it Starting Point and refer to each other as disciples instead of members. God calls us to go and make disciples not members. (Matthew 28:18-20)
Starting Point classes are
FREE and registration is required! They are offered on
2nd and 4th Sundays from 9:05am-9:55am. You can sign up at the Welcome Center on Sundays and Thursdays.
JC3 Discipleship Process (How to Join Church)
Discipleship at JC3 is viewed as active participation, not just an addition to a roll. Here's a summary of the process for joining our church family:
Step 1 -Indicate your desire to join Johnson Chapel Community Church in discipleship when the Invitation is offered.
Step 2 -Register for and attend the Starting Point New Disciples (members) Class
Step 3: Participate in Adult Bible Fellowships & Life Enrichment Classes
Step 4 -Get involved through service
Step 5 -Celebrate with us as we recognize and welcome new disciples in a special occasion.
