Starting Point
Starting Point is a brief one hour discipleship orientation class designed to give you the opportunity to learn more about our beliefs, our vision, and what we have to offer. Because of the need for a consistent understanding of discipleship expectations, attending this class is a requirement for discipleship (membership) at JC3.
Adult Bible Fellowships
These classes will cover the six pillars of what it means to be a model disciple. They are the second step in the discipleship process here at JC3. (You must have taken Starting Point to attend these classes.) They have been designed to connect you with other believers and encourage you along your walk with the Lord.
Decision Counseling Training Deep Sea Fishing Ever had the desire to help reel in the "Big One"...well you're in luck! Join us Sunday, February 7- March 7 from 9:05am-9:55am for Decision Counseling training and learn how to share salvation with someone and become part of the Decision Counseling Community! Then you can go back and tell your friends all about the "THE ONE", Jesus Christ, that gives eternal life! This class is Free of charge and open to everyone.
BAPTISM
Baptism Class
This class helps you to better understand the fundamentals of Baptism and prepares you for Baptism at JC3. It is required for everyone who will be baptized. The next Baptism is March 18. You must pre-register! LEADERSHIP Leadership Development Class Are you ready to take your leadership skills to the next level? Would you like to know what it takes to be a leader? If you answered, "yes" to either question, then this Leadership Development class is right for you. Over the course of six weeks students will learn the characteristics of effective leadership, how to reach your full potential as a leader and the unique gifting of a leader. The course is perfect for any disciple who has a desire to grow in leadership. The cost is free and everyone is welcome. Childcare will be provided. Facilitator: Pastor Marcus King Life Enrichment Classes Me, My Money and My Honey (Married Couples) Do you desire to manage your finances in a way that glorifies the Lord? This class will help married couples learn to partner with the Lord in managing their finances. The class is designed to encompass the complete subject of "money in marriage," including the most volatile issues faced by husbands and wives. This class will help you better understand how your approach to money impacts your marital commitment. Facilitator: In the Black Finance Community Five Love Languages of Singles This class will help singles discover their love language and how they relate to others. The class is geared towards teaching singles the important of having healthy relationships with others. Facilitator: Esterlyn Coleman Pre-Marital Counseling Marital success is not based on how beautiful the flowers are, the wedding dress, or even the rings. It’s determined most often by how much effort was put into developing the right tools to assemble, adjust and maintain a lifelong marriage. If you are seriously considering marriage and want to strengthen your relationship, we strongly encourage you to enroll in premarital classes before setting a wedding date. Please register for both individuals. REQUIREMENTS The couple must commit to 10.5 hours of counseling. This includes: 1. An initial one hour evaluation session 2.
